Salary/Pay and Grade Pay - For assistant sub inspector (steno) post, the payable salary will be Rs 29,200 - 92,300 and for head constable (ministerial) post, the payable salary will be Rs 25,500 - 81,100 per month. Further information about salary details is mentioned in the detailed advertisement.

- Assistant Sub Inspector (Steno) - {12th pass and have shorthand speed of 80 words per minute in English or in Hindi in 10 minutes}
- Head Constable (Ministerial) - {12th pass and have typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi}.
Selection Method - For recruitment in the Border Security Force, the candidate will be selected on the basis of their performance in written exam, physical measurement test, shorthand test/ typing test, document verification and medical exam. Candidates must be prepared for these tests.
Syllabus for Written Exam - The written exam will consists of following subjects
- Hindi/ English Language (20 Marks)
- General Intelligence (20 Marks)
