 Salary/Pay and Grade Pay -  For multitasking staff (MTS) post, the payable salary will be Rs 5,200 - 20,200 with Rs 1,800 grade pay per month. Further information about salary details is mentioned in the detailed advertisement.

Selection Method - For recruitment in the Press Council of India, the candidate will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written exam (objective test) and then document verification. Candidates must be prepared for these tests. 
 
Syllabus and Exam Pattern -  The question paper for the following subjects will be conducted in English only. The preliminary exam will consists of following subjects
  • Numerical and Mathematical Ability (20 Questions, 60 Marks) 
  • Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving (20 Questions, 60 Marks)
  • General Awareness (25 Questions, 75 Marks)
  • English Language and Comprehension (25 Questions, 75 Marks).
The total number of questions for computer-based objective type exam will be 90 and total marks will be 270. The duration exam of exam will be of 180 minutes and there will be negative marking of 1 mark for one wrong answer in General Awareness and English Language tests. The written exam will be in English Language.

Work Experience - No further work experience required for this post. Fresher candidates and candidates with no experience can also apply for this recruitment.
