Salary/Pay and Grade Pay -  For assistant director post, the payable salary will be Rs 56,100 - 1,77,500, for assistant section officer, personal assistant, assistant, technical assistant posts, the payable salary will be Rs 35,400 - 1,12,400, for stenographer, senior secretariat assistant, senior technician, junior secretariat assistant posts, the payable salary will be Rs 25,500 - 81,100 and for technician post, the payable salary will be Rs 19,900 - 63,200 per month. Educational Qualifications - The educational qualification details for these posts are mentioned below.
  • Assistant Director - {a graduate degree in law/ CA/ CWA/ MBA in finance/marketing/ a post graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 3 - 5 years of experience}
  • Assistant Section Officer/Personal Assistant/Stenographer/ Senior Secretariat Assistant/ Junior Secretariat Assistant - {a graduate degree in any discipline}
  • Technician - {10th pass with ITI in electrician or wireman trade}
  • Technical Assistant - {a three year diploma in mechanical engineering or a graduate degree in science with minimum 60% of marks}
  • Senior Technician - {10th pass with ITI in electrician/ wireman trade with minimum two years of practical experience}.

Selection Method - For recruitment in the Bureau of Indian Standards, the candidate will be selected on the basis of their performance in the online exam/ computer proficiency test and skill test/ typing test/ shorthand test. Candidates must be prepared for these tests. The exam will be conducted in the month of November.

Work Experience - No further work experience required for most of the posts. Fresher candidates and candidates with no experience can also apply for this recruitment.
