Responsibilities of Cargo Operations Officer/ Executive -
- Cargo shipment handling
- Conduct cargo operations in accordance with applicable regulations and standards
- Ensure cargo is properly manifested as per sales planning
- Ensure cargo is dispatched from warehouse properly with all relevant documents
- Ensure proper documentation and reports are generated
- Ensure cargo is properly loaded/ un-loaded from aircraft's
- Ensure proper messages are forwarded to various destinations of location of cargo and documents etc
- Ensure all relevant daily maintenance function of equipment's is carried out
- Ensure that cargo agents issue correct airway bills
- Supervise functions performed by the ground handling staff on the ramp
- Ensure that all safety/ security and SOP's with regard to cargo operations are taken care of
- Be
aware of and comply with his/ her safety responsibilities and
accountabilities as laid down in the Indigo SMS manual, chapter safety
policy and objectives.

Responsibilities for Assistant Manager -
- Create a robust list of event and activation agencies and dependable partners to work with
- Define detailed scope for each activity, including exact material with size specifications
- Budget planning and forecast for the vertical
- Agency briefing for a well-planned event and shadowing them until execution
- Liaising across departments from an operational perspective, procurement, payables etc
- Capturing social media worthy pictures using a mobile device
- Post event reporting to team
- Ensuring that the quality and quantity of products and services received from the vendor are as per Indigo quality standards
- Ensuring correct information is mentioned on the creatives like flight timings, fares, date of lunch, frequency, spell checks etc.
- Greeting passengers as they board and exit the plane
- Showing passengers to their seats and providing special attention to certain passengers such as the elderly or disabled
- Serving meals and refreshments
- Checking the condition and provision of emergency equipment and information for passengers.

Salary/Pay and Grade Pay - For assistant manager post, the payable salary will be Rs 29,160, for cabin attendant post, the payable salary will be Rs 27,500 and for cargo operations officer/ executive post, the payable salary will be Rs 28,300 - 40,000 per month approximately.
