Salary/Pay and Grade Pay -  For income tax inspector post, the payable salary will be Rs 44,900 - 1,42,400, for tax assistant post, the payable salary will be Rs 25,500 - 81,100 and for multitasking staff post, the payable salary will be Rs 18,000 - 56,900 per month. Educational Qualifications - The educational qualification details for these posts are mentioned below.
  • Income Tax Inspector/ Tax Assistant - {a graduate degree in any discipline}
  • Multitasking Staff (MTS) - {10th pass}.
Candidate must be a meritorious sportsperson having represented a state or the country in a national or international competition in any of the games/ their university in the inter-university tournaments/ state schools team in the national sports for schools conducted by all India school games federation or sportsperson who has been awarded national awards in physical efficiency under national physical efficiency drive. Selection Method - For recruitment in the
Income Tax Department, the candidate will be selected on the basis of written exam, ground/ proficiency test and then a personal interview. Candidates must be prepared for these tests. 
 
Syllabus and Exam Pattern -  The question paper for the following subjects will be conducted in English only. The computer-based exam will consists of following subjects
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 Questions, 60 Marks) 
  • General Awareness (25 Questions, 50 Marks)
  • Quantitative Aptitude (30 Questions, 60 Marks)
  • English Language and Comprehension (30 Questions, 60 Marks)
  • Computer Knowledge Test (10 Questions, 20 Marks).
The total number of questions for computer-based objective type exam will be 125 and total marks will be 250. The duration exam of exam will be of 120 minutes and there will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for one wrong answer. The written exam will be in English Language.

Work Experience - No further work experience required for these posts. Fresher candidates and candidates with no experience can also apply for this recruitment.
