Salary/Pay and Grade Pay - For income tax inspector post, the payable salary will be Rs 44,900 - 1,42,400, for tax assistant post, the payable salary will be Rs 25,500 - 81,100 and for multitasking staff post, the payable salary will be Rs 18,000 - 56,900 per month. Selection Method - For recruitment in the Income Tax Department, the candidate will be selected on the basis of written exam, ground/ proficiency test and then a personal interview. Candidates must be prepared for these tests.
Syllabus and Exam Pattern
- The question paper for the following
subjects will be conducted in English only. The computer-based
exam will consists of following subjects
- General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 Questions, 60 Marks)
- General Awareness (25 Questions, 50 Marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude (30 Questions, 60 Marks)
- English Language and Comprehension (30 Questions, 60 Marks)
- Computer Knowledge Test (10 Questions, 20 Marks).
