Salary/Pay and Grade Pay - For tax assistant, stenographer posts, the payable salary will be Rs 25,500 - 81,100 and for constable post, the payable salary will be Rs 18,000 - 56,900 per month. Further information about salary details is mentioned in the detailed advertisement.

- Tax Assistant - {a graduate degree in any discipline}
- Stenographer - {12th pass with good typing speed in stenography}
- Constable - {10th pass}.
Selection Method - For recruitment in the Income Tax Department (Central Tax and Customs Department), the candidate will be selected on the basis of field trials, written exam, ground/ proficiency test and then a personal interview. Candidates must be prepared for these tests.
Syllabus and Exam Pattern
- The question paper for the following
subjects will be conducted in English only. The computer-based
exam will consists of following subjects
- General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 Questions, 60 Marks)
- General Awareness (25 Questions, 50 Marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude (30 Questions, 60 Marks)
- English Language and Comprehension (30 Questions, 60 Marks)
- Computer Knowledge Test (10 Questions, 20 Marks).
Work Experience - No further work experience required for these posts. Fresher candidates and candidates with no experience can also apply for this recruitment.
