Salary/Pay and Grade Pay - For lower division clerk, civilian motor driver posts, the payable salary will be Rs 19,900 - 63,200 and for MTS post, the payable salary will be Rs 18,000 - 56,900 per month. Further information about salary details is mentioned in the detailed advertisement.

- Lower Division Clerk - {12th pass and a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer}
- Civilian Motor Driver - {12th pass and must possess a valid driving license with two years of experience in driving heavy vehicles}
- Multitasking Staff - {10th pass}.

Selection Method - For recruitment in the Defence Services Staff College, the candidate will be selected on the basis of their performance in online written exam, skill/ physical test and then a personal interview. Candidates
must be prepared for the these tests.
Syllabus/ Exam Criteria - The written exam will consist of following subjects -
- General Intelligence and Reasoning (20 Questions, 20 Marks)
- Numerical Aptitude (20 Questions, 20 Marks)
- General English (20 Questions, 20 Marks)
- General Awareness (20 Questions, 20 Marks)
- Trade Specific (20 Questions, 20 Marks)
The total number of questions will be 100 and total marks will be also 100. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for one wrong answer. The question-cum-answer paper will be in English and Hindi language and duration of exam will be 90 minutes.
Work Experience - No further work experience required for clerk and multitasking staff posts. Fresher candidates and candidates with no experience can also apply for this recruitment.
