Salary/Pay and Grade Pay -  For senior scientific officer posts, the payable salary will be Rs 56,100 - 1,77,500, for scientific assistant showroom manager, assistant posts, the payable salary will be Rs 35,400 - 1,12,400, for upper division clerk, junior stenographer, mechanic posts, the payable salary will be Rs 25,500 - 81,100 and for Hindi typist, lower division clerk, salesman, training assistant, machine operator posts, the payable salary will be Rs 19,900 - 63,200 per month. Educational Qualifications - The educational qualification details for these posts are mentioned below.

• Senior Scientific Officer (Engineering) - {a graduate degree in mechanical engineering with two years of experience in machine and structural fabrication}
• Senior Scientific Officer (Product Diversification) - {a diploma/ graduate degree in textile technology with three to five years of experience in weaving textiles or furnishing fabrics} 
• Scientific Assistant - {Engineering} - {a graduate degree in mechanical engineering with two years of experience in running or maintenance of textile processing or machinery}
• Showroom Manager - {a graduate degree in any discipline with two years of experience in marketing of consumer products}
• Assistant - {a graduate degree in any discipline}
• Upper Division Clerk - {a graduate degree in any discipline with one year of experience in knowledge in computer application and word processing}
• Junior Stenographer - {12th pass with 100 words per minute in shorthand and 40 words per minute in typewriting}
• Mechanic - {KGTE or MGTE higher workshop mechanic with at least one year experience as a mechanic}
• Hindi Typist/ Lower Division Clerk - {12th pass}
• Salesman - {12th pass and also having knowledge of book keeping and accountancy and a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English}
• Training Assistant - {12th pass and a certificate in the advanced training course conducted by National Coir Training and Design Centre}
• Machine Operator - {ITI certificate in electrician or fitter trade}.

Selection Method - For recruitment in the COIR Board, the candidate will be selected on the basis of their performance in online written exam and personal interview. Candidates must be prepared for these tests.
