Salary/Pay and Grade Pay - For income tax inspector post, the payable salary will be Rs 44,900 - 1,42,400, for tax assistant and stenographer posts, the payable salary will be Rs 25,500 - 81,100 and for multitasking staff post, the payable salary will be Rs 18,000 - 56,900 per month. - Income Tax Inspector/ Tax Assistant - {a graduate degree in any discipline}
- Multitasking Staff (MTS) - {10th pass}.
- Stenographer - {12th pass with a shorthand speed of 80 words per minute on computer}
Selection Method - For recruitment in the Income Tax Department, the candidate will be selected on the basis of shortlisting, ground/ proficiency test and then a personal interview. Candidates must be prepared for these tests.
